Marsis

Marsis is an ethnic rock band formed in 2005 in Kadıköy – Istanbul. The band was finalized two years after its formation and started working on its first album. The first album, which bears the same name with the band ”MARSIS” It was released by Kalan Music in May 2009. After the album, the band started to take part in Turkey’s most important stages and festivals and expanded their audience even more with their 2012 album ZAMANI GELDİ. The band, which received great acclaim with the NANA song they made for “Benim İçin Üzülme”, one of the prominent TV series of the period, mainly focused on single works after the KİANA album released in 2016. Between 2022 and 2023, the band released 7 singles including acoustic songs and series-film soundtracks. Since its establishment, the band has given dozens of concerts in Turkey, Georgia and Europe and has a strong stage performance with Turkish, Laz and Georgian songs in their repertoire. The band was also awarded the “Phoenix” award by the Caucasus Music Festival in Georgia in 2021. 

The band’s latest song “Sarpi Moleni” with Georgian artist Dato Khudjadze will soon be released simultaneously in both countries.
